New to Burning, need a "walkthrough"

Hello,

I recently bought a PS2, PAL version, from France. I have never burned anything before (save PC games, with which my success rate has been dismal) and I need some help:

1) do I need to install anything in my PS2 in order to play NTSC PS2 BACKUP GAMES? If so, is this thing hard to install? Please note again, my machine is PAL I want NTSC, is that possible?

2) What about PAL PS2 Backup games?

3) What about PAL/NTSC Backup Playstation games?
