Wazup with BurnProof, SCSI, CloneCD and writting speeds??

Hi!

I've noticed almost no threads on the board mention Burn proof capabilities... people with burners like the Plextor SCSI 12x10x32x which are compatible w/CloneCD and with BurnProof capabilities do still need to set reading/writting speeds to 1x and turn OFF BurnProof setting on CloneCD to backup CDs or ISOs???

Please clarify!

Thanks so much!

backitup
turn on the BurnProof if you got it as for reading & writing at x1 you get a better copy of the game at that speed if you what to burn at x12 do it but some psx can't read the cd at fast speeds and there a chance when reading & writing at that speed may miss some info

Oh!

Ok, then, which is the fastest read/write speed you would recommend?

1x is wide tooooo slow, I know it's the safest but isn't this ugly?

Speeds i currently use are

Read 4x and write 2x.

I know its a bit of a bore but if you read and write too quickly you may end up getting problems with FMV and Audio scipping, you may also get those backups that wont run at all.

Obviosly different people may prefer different settings you may be able to write faster if you are using a good quality media and burner!

Hi!

I'm using a Plextor SCSI burner, 12x,10,32x...

For the media, most recommend Verbatim... I wonder which other speeds and media people back up to.

Let me know, thanks!
