What's going on??

A question from a remote friend of mine:
she chipped her psx and now it's impossible to play any game anymore, either original or backup.
When she switches it on, the sony logo appears and then the message "insert playstation cd" shows up........audio cd's work normally.......
Any suggestions? Or did the guy who chipped it just a lousy job??

Obviously if you can't play any games anymore you got a lousy install job.

Basicaly the guy who chipped it has done a lousy job!

I would need to know which version of PSX (SCPH ????) your friend has before i could be of more help.

My first thoughts would be that the wrong code has been used or the wrong installation diagram.

I have seen some really naff installation jobs before, melted and lifting tracks, blown fuses, short circuits and not to mention installed chips that have'nt even been programmed, but if you can supply some more information then i may be able to help further.
