cdr media and burners

Is there a specific reason why certain media only work with certain burners.And yes I have used the search function before anyone asks just wonderin if there might be any new info on the subject cause I use an hp 9300 writer and have only had problems with traxdata.Memorex kodak tdk all seem to work fine.Any new info would be much appreciated.Ta in advance.

I also have an HP burner and have only had minor trouble with the cheap Kodaks.

I have used TDK, Memorex, Pioneer, Mr Data and even the realy cheap one's you can get on the 100 spindle's, and with PSX backups they all work fine!

Some burners use cheap third party lasers which i think is probably the main reason for failier's with PSX backups.

Basicaly the more you pay for your burner then the better results you will get.

HP have the lowest returns rate in the industry so they must be doing something right!

my burner is HP too and i didnt have any troubles at all. i tried a lot of different cds but no troubles until now
