about ff9 does that mean??????

Have red that there can't be made a patch for ff9.
does that mean that "they" have reach the point to secure games on such a level we can't patch them??????
or is there a chance that a patch will ever come in the future?????
If they really protect games on such a level you can't make backups why buy them?????

May I ask what the patches on this site are for then? There is a "FMV" fix and LOTS of other stuff.
Plus I made a backup of CD 1 of FF9 and it played fine . Without any patch.

Yes. there are plenty of ff9 patches at megagames, but NO they are NOT protection fix patches. The fmv fix is for the ntsc version that kallisto did something to, and one of the fmv sequences had errors on the first disc. This patch only fixes that sequence. If you look thru I think you will find they are basically ntsc2pal patches or non-working pal patches. It has been said a thousand times that the pal ff9 can't be copied, except with clonecd. I don't know what the case is with the ntsc version.

To the first bloke who brought up this topic, I think there is a real chance that the copy protection has outdone the crackers. ff9 is fairly new, but how long has spyro3 been out? There is still no working patch for it. It is not an easy job to crack the games, and the developers can make more difficult if they wish. I certainly wouldn't be holding my breath for patches in the near future.

I don't quit understand what the problem here is. My copy that i ued with clonecd works just fine. i played till the 3rd cd and decided to stop there but I test the 4th cd and it started up just fine. I have an acer 2x rewrite cdrw. Are people having problems because of their cd or they are not using clone cd? I did not use any patch for this game because usually clone cd does a very good job of copying the games I need.

ok there is a lot of burners out ther that dont support clonecd. that means that not everybody can use it. you semm to be one of the lucky ones.
with clonecd you can burn every game! and you never need a patch even if its protected (except modchip-protection)
