ps2 patches - do they centre the picture to full screen ?

Before i start messing about with NTSC-PAL PS2 patches, can anyone say if they centre the picture or do they still display the game with a "L" shaped black border on screen ? - i see there are toolz to convert from ntsc-pal but they dont centre the game on screen (not much use really...is it?)
any suggestions ?

It varies depending on the patch..

some do, some don't... best try one and see....

although i have seen a program around somewhere that adjusts the Y-axis only, so that would move the picture into the midle with minimal borders top and bottom...

Anyway, what program do you use to PAL Patch ??
and where can i get a copy ???
