PSX Copy protection

How does the PSX know if a game is copied??? what copy protection is used so that a mod chip is needed??? I can copy any PC game, so what is stopping me from copying any PSX game???
Has anyone tried black cdr's before??? r they ok for copying PSX games??? I bought 10 of them for 12 quid!!! anybody else want them for that price i can post the url, that price does include postage!!!

BOT is on a distinguished road
As are all original cds, the PSX original is pressed.
During the pressing a code is placed on the cd in a place that only the PSX reader can access, NO reader or burner for PC can access that spot.
If the PSX cannot read that code it knows the cd is not original PSX cd.
From others experiences black cds are a gimmick, and not reliable for PSX backups.

why the feck would u want black bottom cdz anyway??? its gonna take one heck of a decent laser printer to produce a good enough clone to pass it off as an authentic CD!

£12 is a rip off for 10 discs, that are probably of a much lower quality than sony's and tdks. I get 100 80 minute discs for £40 and the p&p is free as well!

Don't be fooled by these con merchants who tell u black bottom cds will let u play the games with no modchip, they are talking out of their fat, ugly arse.

Sorry, i just had to get that out of my system thx for listening,

Animal.

Well i can get 100 for £5! Who cares! I was just trying to point out that £12 for 10 discs is a complete rip-off, i didn't want to know who can get hold of the cheapest discs

Anyway, i am a lazy git and i just can't be bothered to go around looking for cheap discs or actually go out side, get in a car and drive for an hour to my closest computer fair. But if u know of any websites where i can get 100 memorex 80's for less than £40 with free p&p then post the URL on the board so that next time i am running low, i can order them from there,

l8er,

Animal.
