i'm new at this please help

I have a ps one with the gameshark card. I have read all the instructions on copying and tried it a couple times, and could not get them to work. Do I also need a mod chip, or can I use just my gameshark card for the front of my player. and what do I do with it, just swap cd's. Does any cd from USA work to boot the playstation, or do I need the boot disk that has been talked about in this site?

Yes you need a mod chip... however im not too sure on if the mod chips will work on the ps one... or do you have an older PSX if so.. then get a game enhancer @ www.gamegizmo.com this is a great mod chip, and has worked on everygame i have backed up... besides it plays action replay codes, and game shark codes... you dont need a boot disc just a regular game .. for the swapping trick if this has helped you let me know... if not... i will try to reanswer your comment
