What's the best currently available modchip to get for a brand new PAL PS2 Console v3 and v4????
Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated, as I want to get it right the first time.. Here in Australia, I am unaware of any places that does modchip modifications, so that might through a spanner in the works, so to speak.
Oh, and I've made an image file of Davil May Cry PAL, but to do so, I had to convert to NTFS file system from FAT32, as the final file was over 4GB in length.. I hope it will burn back to a blank DVD ok and run fine with a DVD-R booting mod chip and without having to swap with something that has a larger TOC.... Ahhhh, Sony.. The One and Only!!! (cough.... Wankers... cough)! |

ANSWER: Try ####://ozmodchips.hypermart.net/playstation/support/support.html ####://www.psxplus.com.au/mod_installation.htm Oh, and I've made an image file of Davil May Cry PAL, but to do so, I had to convert to NTFS file system from FAT32, as the final file was over 4GB in length.. That's how PrimoDVD and Nero 5.5.6.4 work. Brand new consoles would be v5, at least in the UK and US. v3 is old, but v3 & v4 are good. Neo2.5 (DVD) is the best version available to you then NEO2.2 |

Oh, one other thing.... do the new DVD+RW DVD burners burn PS2 DVD backups successfully?? Do they work in a modded PS2?? I was thinking of getting a DVD+RW drive from HP, like the HP DVD100i or something... worthwhile???? |

ANSWER: Don't buy the HP 100i would be my advice. It's pretty ropey having a DVD burner that won't burn DVD-Rs, which is what the PS2 community are burning. The Pioneer A03 is fully proven out and that's all I can recommend. Same goes for Dust and many others. |
