Can any1 help with Nero 5.0!!!!

I have an external IDE-CDRW 8x4x32 by QTech - Nero 5.0!
Can any1 tell me what settings to use in order to backup my playstation and pc games. I've tried solid for 2 days to get it to work but keep getting error messages which are a different language to me!
