ps one back-up on a modded jap ps2 model 10000

i have a jap version of the ps2 i can patch my ps2 pal games to play but i can't get ps one originals or back-up's(PAL) to work on it any suggestions? changing the boot on them to jap etc? here's hoping you guys can help me out with this cheers..!!!!

Hi

I have just got a psx1 backup to run on my jap 10000 machine.

You insert a Jap original, the tray opens and you insert the backup, the tray opens again and you swap again, then the tray opens one last time, put the backup in and play.

How do I get UK/USA PS2 backups running on my machine, i'm getting pissed off!! please help!
