copying psx games using clonecd .cif

Hi all. Got a question. Maybe someone out there knows what the heck is going on here... First of all, let me say that I have a Creative CD-RW RW4224E burner. The blank media that I have here is the Verbatim Datalife Plus(blue colored) and trying to re-instate clonecd image file(game) back to original game state on a playable cd-r. My playstation has the plug-in mod and will not play the games that I burn. I take that back...It played *part* of one, then hung. I really need some help on this. I have an older playstation- SCPH-7501. Some people told me that the burner would not work, and other people told me that I could use pretty much any kind of media. Does anyone have any suggestions???

First of all won't be yer media Verbatim is a high quility CDR, Check Clone's hardware requiremens section, think you'll find that yer writer a'int fully supported yet, u could try upgrading the firmware for your drive "creative's web site" this may help, other-wise patch it and use cdrwin.

Thanks guys...I will take this into consideration. I have had some people tell me that the burner was_not_compatible for burning PSX, thanks for the second opinion. BTW, what's the best one out there so far...your opinions please.

I have a sony CRX140ERP writer and its ace. I have burnt Final Fantasy 9 and loads of pc stuff with no problems whatso ever, my vote goes out to this. However there is the CRX160ERP out now and that is still FULLY compatable with clonecd and unstead of writing at 8 speed it writes at 16 speed WOW......
