Problem with GameHunter / Audio Tracks

Until a few days ago I had a Playstation (model 7002) working with a GameHunter to play backups, but when I tried to play games with audio tracks, the PSX would start making some really loudy noises and wouldn't play the tracks. I thought it could be a damaged laser problem until I decided to put an internal Mod-Chip.

And guess what... now the audio tracks works fine and even some games that didn't work (like NHL 2001 and Road Rash Jailbreak) now work perfect !!!

As anyone experienced this problems with an external GameHunter ? Could it be a problem with the combination PSX 7000 + GameHunter ?
