PS2 Backups help

Just a question, has anybody heard anything about a boot disk called PSX-X-CHANGE which allows copied games, both PSX and PS2 to be played on the PS2 without a modchip. This is because I have a heap of PSX imports and backups that I wan't to play on my PAL PS2.

I'm sure this is the way it will go in the future just like the dreamcast - boot disc without a modchip needed. But as far as I know for the Pal unit nothing has hit the streets. Everyone is hanging on till the modchip is out - then we invalidate our warranty - then the buggers develop the boot disc. hmmm
