"RAW" !!!
"Ignore", in case of read errors
"Auto", for the jitter correction
"No" subcode analysis (in most cases)
reading speed for data: 1x, 2x or 4x (depends on the quality of your cd-rom drive) and for audio: 1x (recommended).
Retries: 99.
Subcode threshold (doesn't care): 300.

These settings should work even if your original CD is a little bit "scratched".

Now what happens: CDRWin tries to read every sector in raw mode (max. 99 times). But in case for the sectors with invalid checksum (every original psx cd has these sectors), it doesn't stop copying or tries to "repair" the, as defective regarded, data.
No "standard" CD-writer is able to write sectors with an invalid checksum (not even if you use clonecd or any other copy program !), but therefore you got your modchip inside your playstation. This modchip "fakes" the wrong checksum for the playstation in case of these sectors.... So if there is no anti-modchip-protection inside your game, you can play the copy without any problems.
