pal/ntsc?????????????

hello all and happy new year )

i am new to this psx lark - but want to make backups (yes it is mod chipped) the game i am trying to backup is star wars demolition. i know i need a patch for this but the only one i can find is a pal/ntsc selector - will this do or am i well out?
