disc read errors...HELP

When backing up some of my older games, I get read errors. I am assuming this is due to scratches on the discs, but the original games still work ok..is there anyway to get round this? Can you polish out the scratches? Anyone had the same trouble?

Hi. Are the games pal or ntsc?

i find clonecd usually does the trick on shagged cd's
