Mod Chips

Is there a way to disable the mod chip? The reason i need to is that when i try to play an original game it goes to a "play cd" screen.(it is like a music cd screen?????!@!@#)

r u sure its not just a bad cd

i have tried several original games that i now are good, then when i burn them the cdr will play fine.
i thought i read some where that there was a way to reset the mod chip?

You have the old code in your chip and can throw it in the bin.... or an old PSX ..... update to multimode 2.? and it will work even if you only use 4 wires
