Note: If you are actually trying to copy or burn an existing backup image, disregard the following message. If you're trying to copy original Sega discs, read on:
-------------------------------------------------------------- For the one-millionth-and-first time!!!! YOU CANNOT COPY ORIGINAL DREAMCAST GD-ROM DISCS USING A STANDARD CD-R/CDRW DRIVE!!!! IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. THE ONLY WAY TO COPY AN ORIGINAL SEGA DREAMCAST DISC IS TO USE A SERIAL CABLE BETWEEN YOUR DREAMCAST AND PC, AND RIP THE GAME DATA. THEN YOU HAVE TO EXTRACT THE FILES, HACK THE FILES, DOWNSAMPLE THE A/V FILES, POSSIBLY REMOVE SOME FEATURES, THEN BURN IT TO A USABLE DISC. IF YOU ARE TRYING TO COPY ORIGINAL GAME DISCS. STOP RIGHT NOW! DO NOT TRY ANYMORE! DO NOT ASK FURTHER QUESTIONS OF THIS SORT! I recommend you search the web and newsgroups for your game images. DO NOT ASK FOR GAME IMAGE LINKS IN THESE FORUMS!!! Doing so can get you banned. |
