Controller problems!!!!

Hey everyone,

I have a problem with my controllers... i can't play 2 player games.
I have adjusted my gd rom laser and it still doesn't work .... so any other ideas.

Stats:
DC - Manufactured Feb 2000
Controllers - 2 players work fine on original DC games and on
some backups such as Quake Arena, Unreal Tournament,
Loonytoons Space Race, and Tennis 2k2.
Laser - has been adjusted... still 2 player does not work on all backups
