Multiplayer Problems!!!

I have successfully created a DC Backup, now my problem is that it will not let me access the two player features. It says that i need another joystick but.. i have 2 working joysticks pluged in. I have tried every port, tried other games .. original game works fine, just my backup doesn't. If you can help please reply.

The two-player option may have been ripped out of the game to save space, so it would fit on a 700mb disc.

Well if you hadn't said your original games work with two-player mode, I would have suggested that your controller port circuit-board was defective. Since you have verified that some games work with two controllers on your machine but the backups don't, and these same backups work on your friend's machine, I'd say it's probably just differences in the two different Dreamcast machines. Perhaps they have different manufacture dates or perhaps the variability of the CD laser on the two machines is exploiting a defect or difficiency in the burn or disc quality of that backup disc.

It's just really hard to say what causes your problem.
