Copy ALL of the files on the disc to your hard drive, then create an ISO disc image with the files, using Easy CD Creator or some other burner software that creates .ISO images.

(Alternatively, you can use mkisofs.exe to create an ISO image)

Now, use BIN2BOOT.EXE found at ####://dcxeal.virtualave.net/b2b-cdda-b1.zip

This will create a .CDI file that should boot on newer Dreamcast machines, without any trouble.

I purchased a December 2000 DC and I've converted the file using bin2boot and burned it to a cd. I was unable to get the CD to boot. I am using the bin2boot-cdda-b1 version. Is there any other programs I can try? thanks

Some people have stated that their Dreamcasts that were made in DECEMBER 2000 or later, don't work *AT ALL* with backups.

You may also have this problem.

Try your backups on someone else's machine and see if the backups are even good. If they don't work on an older machine (mine is June 2000), they're probably bad burns.
