CDRWin Problems...

I recently had to fdisk/format my HDDs... Needless to say I lost most of my goodies.

Anyway, after reinstalling CDRWin, and uh... "patching" it, all seemed well. It read the cue file fine, and seemed to burn the bin without error. Again, all seemed well.

After exploring the CD I just burnt, nothing was there. There were no files, nothing. But, the strange thing is; is the space is used. So, if the image I burnt was 450MB, 450MB is used on the CD...

I THINK it is because of a bad patch. Anyone have any clues?

The same thing happened to me a couple of times, only when I used Easy CD, it looked like it was writing all the files correctly but it turned out that it just burned a "phantom" file that had definite space but could not be read by my cd-rom. Funny thing is I fixed that from happening by uncheking the Write CD-Text box. Now everything works perfectly and I have yet to see that error happen since then.

I never could get CDRWin to work. What you say it's doing, it was also doing to me.

Thanks... I think it WAS the patch. Because I uninstalled and reinstalled with no patch, and it worked fine (at 1x)... So, I will try the serial...

Hats off to GoldenHawk for their copy protection...

lol
