Problem reading Dreamcast Backups.
Hello, my friend gave me a bunch of dreamcast games that he had burned on his computer, most of them are self boot. All of these games work fine, but when I try to read some of them on my computer, they show up as Audio CDs with a single 4 second audio track. And when I try to copy them, the image is only a few Kilobytes big. The CDWriter I am using to read these games is the
SONY CD-RW CRX160E. I wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem, and if so , how they fixed it. I also want to know if this is a problem specific to my CDROM drive and if there are ones that can read these cds properly so I can copy them, because it is very important to me that I copy these cds and I am willing to buy a new reader. Also, if I buy a new reader, will my SONY CRX160E still be able to write the image file even though it had problems reading the source CD? If anyone has answers to these questions it would be greatly appreciated. The problem is only specific to a few of the games I have, most of them I have beenable to copy fine. |

Alright I tried reading the CDs on my friends CDROM and it shows up fine, it shows all the files and directories, but on my SONY CRX160E it still only shows the audio tracks. If anyone knows what could be causing this, please let me know, this is causing me alot of frustration and wasted time.

I have read that whole guide many times but it still doesnt have anything to do with my problem. My problem is that my CDROM is reading some of my self boot dreamcast games as AUDIO CDs and not data. Ihave no problem copying most games using clonecd or diskjuggler, but when I try to copy them with these programs it only copies the audio tracks to the image, which is only a few KB. These games all work so I know there is nothing wrong with them, and they do show up as Data cds on other computers.
