I have a rather interesting question about GS CDX...

Has anyone at all had problems, getting it to work with the copied games? Such games it doesn't work on correctly (For me anyway) is MDK2, Sonic adventure 1 and Grandia 2. The other games I could care less about except for Grandia.

Sorry to post on my own post but let me restate my question, The game loads just fine, however any codes that I put in for those games appear not to work in the least. After making the above post, I decided to go back through the archives again to see if I missed anything. Only one other person came close to asking this same question, however his wouldn't even boot up. So, for all you premium memebers out there, don't cut me down for posting question 91 about why GS doesn't work with (certain) backups.

Even certain Gameshark codes will not work in conjunction with each other. I noticed this on Metropolis Street Racer, in which the codes provided by gameshark.com could not all be used at once, and the direct result was the game not loading at all.

None of the discs I had that were NON-BOOT worked with Gameshark. The game must be self-boot before Gameshark will work (you can't load gameshark, set your codes, load the boot disc, then the game you want - that won't work).

Of all of my self-boot games, I have one that I made self-boot from a non-boot game, that doesn't work with Gameshark. Crazy Taxi (not CT2) reboots the console to the main 4-icon screen when loaded under Gameshark. After I press the PLAY icon, Crazy Taxi loads, but without Gameshark underneath.

I have the same problem with an Action Replay card and a copy of Resident Evil:Code Veronica... The game is an US version, which can't be loaded on my PAL DC, except using the boot cd. But I can't use the Action Replay when using a boot cd, or when I use the Action Replay disk, then the game won't load (as it is not a pal version or a self loading one) So how could this one be solved ? I think I should convert the disk to a self boot one, but I have no clue how to do it exactly. Anyway just to add something, some games don't work with the original AR codes, I think this is because of the copy and patching... So I am not sure if those would work on the original, but I think they would. Any suggestion would help, if someone could, please help me.

regards, Stephen

Wayne in some cases you can load CDX, Boot Disc, Copied Game. I've done it with at least one game, some others like Marvel Vs Capcom 2, don't work like that.

I hate to keep beating a rotting, decaying, maggot filled dead horse, but has anyone noticed anything funny about the Action Replay cracked ISO? I don't know about anyone else, but when I use it, it erases the Dreamcase internal memory. Any Ideas ony how to fix this one?

BTW: Thanks for the help guys, it was the mixing of different codes that was my problem. Props to you all!!
