Disc Juggler, right?

What does the disc look like if you pop it in your CDROM drive? Blank with 648mb of available space? If so, I have had those too and I'm not 100% certain, but I think it was because I had changed some of the settings in DJ's advanced tab that overrode the .CDI defaults. If you have changed any of the settings in Disc Juggler, the easiest way to put them back to installation defaults would be to remove and reinstall DJ. The only thing you really need to tweak (ever) should be the "OVERBURN" option in the Advanced tab.

Good luck, I just got lucky getting mine to work after my first few coasters.

I just remembered what I believe was one of the causes of some of my early coasters (remembered it while posting another message).

Do not "DRAG" the .CDI file onto Disc Juggler. That will not work and will result in a coaster (like the ones you've got).

Instead, after going to the "CD IMAGE to CD" option, click the FOLDER icon in the SOURCE section and browse to the .CDI file you want to burn. That's what I had to figure out and after doing so I never had another Disc Juggler related coaster.

i had that problem at first, but after pulling my own hair and not buggin you guys i figured out that i was choosing the wrong setting at the begining of making the cd.
The cd is full, it even told me that i couldnt burn it a few times because the cd was too small (i was using 74 min disks)
but even when making an entire burn it still just goes to the main screen on bootup with the 4 options =(
p.s. yes it is DJ the one off their site... and it only burns at one speed ='( so i dont think its a problem with speed

I've beaten it, but yes a bug is present, just not there. The bug I am speaking of is in the Dark Story's credits, it will tell you what you got for beating the Dark Story, then lock up. Let the DC cool for a day or four, come back, try to find those features, not there. You have to play the final Dark stage again and sit through the credits, just to see it lock up again. I've almost become a pro at beating Sonic with Shadow in that final stage.

Anyway, I am babbling, I think your stuck at the stage where Tails/Eggman have to get to the cannon's core, and your both in MECHs. The trick for tails is NOT to get gun happy, you will usually end up blowing up bridges and critical areas most of the time unreachable if you blow it up. Not sure about Eggman though... but neither of those are the FINAL stages for Hero/Dark.

the final stage (core cannon) has a big bug in it when you should ####t whith eggman, he falls and fallls... splash, die!
echelon has released an fix for it in ppf format so you need the "original" image you downloaded and patch it then burn again. then works. donīt try to make an new image from the just burned cd to apply the patch this will not work.
in the other stages i donīt had any probs just there until i have patched it now it works perfectly :-)
