Tips for .exe patching compressed TCS Engine 2.0+ titles?

As the title suggests I've been trying to find information about how to patch the .exe of games using TCS Engine 2.0+ (2011 - ). The most notable games that use this engine and newer are post 2011 LEGO games. From what little I've been able to find on this forum there isn't a universal solution to patching the .exe as the method changes on each title and version of said title. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the party.

There's a method that FitGirl uses but it's sure as hell not able to be replicated easily. Not to mention I haven't seen the instructions myself.

I have another guy claiming that there's a super easy way to "get past the DX11 dat file protections" however he refuses to detail anything until LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga releases.

As for LEGO games in general, use QUICKBMS on the dat files. On newer games the script on luigi's site fails to extract properly so use I use a modified script.

I was looking through threads on this site and think I've seen fitgirl talk about her method, its a shame she won't share it. Thank you for tip for QUICKBMS, I'll check that out!

The patch is only to make the game run with unpacked dat archives.

All older LEGO games work fine without a patch, it's only the new ones which require patching.
