Size after using Extract

Here's my prob, I know I've had a lot of 'em but I'm still learning. I ripped the GD, in this case virtua fighter 3, when I unzip the track with eo, it says the iso is about 1 gig, when I use Extract on the ISO, it tells me all the files are around 650 megs. Am I missing files or something, or is it supposed to rip this small. After I downsample the video, it tells me it's about 350 megs total, and I only chopped around 200 megs from the video files. What gives?

This is normal for after the extract track03.iso has been performed the game files end up smaller than the original .iso.

So you have all the game files in a directory yeah, ya know the 1st_read.bin, ip.bin and all the game data etc, if your gonna make the game a selfboot you only need to downsample to about 630 megs 4 a 74min cd-r, (if youre using 80min cd's no need to downsample) you don't need to rip out ALL the movies etc, just get it down to 630 mb and follow echelons selfboot tutorial after hacking the bins!!!

If it's taking a 1 gig ISO and extracting it to 650 megs, it's gotta be throwing something out. Why would I need to downsample anything if it's already at 650? Also, taking the iso, I follow Echelon's selfboot to the letter and it won't boot, I gotta be missing something somewhere.

Yes, unless extract is putting something somewhere else that I don't know about. But reading down the list as it goes, it's all there, and it says itself it only extracts 650 megs. One more question if anyone is listening, this one hardware. The CDRW I bought was a Sony 8x4x32, the box itself says CRX140/ch2 but both windows and cdrecord report it as a CRX0811 with firmware mys2, then cdrecord also says that the controller returns wrong size for cd capabilities page. What is that?
