I don't think there was graphics same as onimusha series
They are amazing
I think the X-Box can't handle those things because the graphic card isn't that good...
it runs at 233MHz I think...
I think X-box is good for shooting game and some types of sport that needs a lot of space
Ps2 RULES THE REST ^^

Actually onimusha is on Xbox and it does have better graphics than the PS2 version.

No chance in hell the PS2 could compare to the Xbox in graphics and mmmm I doubt it can compare in power either.

However the Gamecube on the other hand is another story.

But like I said before the PS2 has way more games also being the oldest console of the 3. Most people have bought it compared to the other 2.

Nobody brought the gamecube into this.

The gamecube is far and away the best of the three systems.

Period, end of story, no arguments no contentions.

Will it survive in the long run, with Nintendo keeping such a low release rate going? I dunno.

But it's the best system, period.

Sorry, but Gamecubes are absolutely SH*TE!

The PS2 and XBoX kich the crap out of it. It is almost as if, on release day, the thing crawled out of the stock cupboard quietly, realised the store was shut and sneaked back in and yet to return. It really is NOT a contender and the XBox kicks the crap out of it anyway but the PS2 takes the pi** out of them both - just look at the titles and the sales ratios - VERY INTERESTING READING!!!

We are debating the technical/ergonomic merits of a system. Not how many units have sold, or how many crappy games there are for that system.

The ATI video chip in the GC is technically superior to the GF3 in the GameCube. It's the equivalent of ATI's current top-of-the-line 9x00 series cards for the PC, which are already faster than the GF4 line, and faster ALSO than the new GF-FX cards.

The processor is RISC like the PS2, but faster than the PS2. RISC is inherently better than CISC (the crippled P3 in the XBOX is CISC). A 350Mhz RISC chip (roughly what the GC has) is EASILY as fast a a Gigahertz CISC chip, depending on implementation. Since the XBOX is well under a Gigahertz, again the GC wins.

The system itself is small and ergonomic. Games load near instantaneously (with the exception of the horrific Turok: Evolution. Yik!), and the controller fits all hand sizes. The XBOX controller gives even the biggest handed nasty cramps, and us mere mortals can't even get a good grip on it.

Now, let's list some more good things:

GC - Anti-flicker filter built in. When playing on a standard TV, the GC looks tremendously smooth due to ATI's tv-out superiority. When playing on a HDTV or monitor, it deactivates and you get the crispness you want while maintaining fluidity.

GC - MiniDV's are the bomb. While standard DVD's hold more, we must be realistic and realize that there are less than 5 DVD9 titles available for the PS2, and around that many for the XBox. Nintendo is following suit with a full-sized DVD adapter for the Gamecube.

GC - Portable. Runs off batteries and has a clip-on LCD screen. Nuff said.

The XBOX... has a hard drive. Which, unless you MOD it and break the law, is unusable for anything other than saving games.

Don't start in on the "look at the way cool games that PS2 has!" bull, because we KNOW that Nintendo is lagging in the game release department. That's the GC's biggest (only) weakness right now.

Go play Mario Sunshine, and then go play Spyro. No competition. End of story. Go play Rogue Squadron 2, and play ANY space combat game on ANY other system. No competition. At all. Period.

I am sorry but I think game selection is a HUGE factor in deciding the better system. Gamecube games look good but it just has way too many kiddie type games to compete with the PS2 or even Xbox for that matter.

I really couldn't give a flying f*** about your technical facts - after all, it isn't something we don't already know, and like Bighap says, the games DO indeed matter over a good console or not. After all, it isn't he technical specs you are playing is it? NO! I didn't think so!

And by the way, the gamecube games are indeed CRAP and are leading to the downfall of the GC system. There are far too many kiddy games for it.

I can just see it now, We PS2 owners will be looking forward to new titles in years to come but you GC owners (if they all think like you) will be saying, "who cares about the games, we have a poncy ATI Graphics card which doesn't mean sh*t anymore 'cause no developers could give one anymore"

Shame really, and just for the record, how can the GC win the technical battle, we all know the XBoX has far superior innards to the other consoles, including the GC - but what counts, is the games and the interest in which developers have in your product, in which we all know that the PS2 has by far the more superior titles and that is what REALLY matters, because it is pointless in having a console like the GC when no decent games are out for it, so the games do make a games console sell more, and therefore control the market and finally make a SUPERIOR CONSOLE, which everybody wants and cares for unlike the GC which is losing this Console Generation by far!

This thread may possibly go on for a hell of a long time.

I have all three main current systems and have always bought every system on the market since the days of the master system. IMAO here is how it goes.

GAMECUBE

I think the Gamecube is a great little console, but only really appeals to me for nintendo's titles (such as mario sunshine, pikmin, starfox adventures and monkey ball 1+2, metroid prime etc etc) As for third party support the cube literally sucks, and we all know thats true.

XBOX

The xbox is a damn cool machine, game wise it has it's fair share of class A titles. Halo is the only game which has shown me anything special since day of realise. Xbox is def my biggest disappointment.(Many of the other games simply play better on rival systems (Splinter cell plays a lot nicer on ps2. Trust me, i've finished the xbox version and am currently doing it again on ps2.) and other than that most of the other games are great but are very little different when comparing to the dreamcast alternatives

Project Goth = Metropolis street racer (DC)
Jet Set Radio Future = Jet set radio (DC) with different stages
Shenmue 2 = Shenmue 2 (DC) with english voice over.

With support from sega then I am seriously looking forward to the continuation of shenmue series but have yet to see this confirmed. The ability for emulators though is one which I throughly enjoy, playing sonic and other old classics on screen with a pad is something I used to crave for.......but this isn't what the xbox is designed for!

PS2

Nice looker, Nice pad and fair selection of A*** titles. Fair enough the machine has it's fair share of crap titles but this is to be expected with such a large user base.
Developers know the ps2 version will sell more....thus invest more into developing it.
Def my fav machine of the lot purely for the wide choice of titles.

I agree that the bad game selection has the potential to drive Gamecube into the ground.

But you cannot assert that ANYTHING about the XBOX is technically superior. It's the same machine I built for my little brother a few years back, only with a slightly updated graphics card. It's a crappy PC in a shiny black box. That's all it is. One of these days, one of the Project X people will beat the DVD encryption, and we'll just play XBOX games on the PC.

And you know what? I _like_ "kiddie" games. If I want a FPS or a sim or a wargame or a racing game, I'll play one on my PC. If I wanna shoot stuff, smack people around, or play a platformer, I fire up the game console.

Zelda only exists on the GC. Mario, Wario, Starfox, Metroid, Kirby, etc.

Yeah, they're "kiddie". But they're fun.

When I was faced with the choice of only ONE system, I got the PS2. When the GC price dropped, I picked one up.

I will never own an XBOX. There's just no point, since my PC is about 10 times faster/better already, and the XBOX has only been out less than 2 years. *shrug*

AGP, 128MB DDR2, DVI
It would be the best!!!
Even my own pc is better ^^
Specs actually don't do anything....
X-box has better specs but not games....
