nor it worked for me, i did everything as said, except for using alcohol 52 instead of 10x (whatever percent
) - EDITED, as i know now that the whole sp_demo.exe thing just seems to be the result of too little attendance and acceptance in the real, general society ;P

Thanks for the help guys.
Thanks for the links. I am still intrigued to understand the point of the patched anti-blaxx? Is this a patch to umm... extend the demo period so to speak? (wink wink) or is it a functionality change to the program?

I want to share with all those who are having trouble running FEAR what I did to make my copy work.
(1) Install game from DVD disc. (2) Created an image of FEAR thru A120% v1.9.5.3105. Burned at 4x speed. (3) Ran Diskeeper v8 to defragment my C drive. (4) Mounted the FEAR mds file to a virtual drive created under A120% v1.9.5.3105 with all emulation settings checked. (5) Opened SecROM7Stop v1.0. Clicked on the "Hide" button. Once the program confirmed that all 5 of my virtual CD drives were hidden, I closed the program. (6) Double-clicked on the FEAR desktop icon. (7) The game loaded!! (8) After exiting FEAR, restarted the SecROM7Stop program and clicked on the button to un-hide all of my virtual drives. (9) That's it!! Now, I don't know if this method will continue to work after applying the v1.01 patch. i know one member in this thread said that his FEAR still loaded up. Is there anyone else who can confirm that such a method as this still works after installing the v1.01 patch?

@raz0r: If I understood it correctly, newer versions of Starforce blacklist Anti-Blaxx. Therefore, you need a patched version of Anti-Blaxx that Starforce doesn't recognize.

As for anti-blaxx being blacklisted, yea, that's true--especially the older v1.16 Anti-Blaxx. Although I haven't tried with the newer anti-blaxx v1.17, I can confirm that FEAR v1.0 and v1.01 still launches using the A120% + SecROM7Stop (v1.0) combo.
