They installed a resitor, and the person told me thay had fixed the problem with the lens, so you say that he lied to me?
I am curios because if it is so I whill have him remove it...
On the other hand I heard from a frind of mine that his Friend ( Hey I cant gantee its true because i dont know the person) had an Origa chipped and afther 10 days his Play burned out!!!
I hate Sony for making it so hard to play some Import, I dont care to much about backups I wanted to play Jap games and American ones becasue Pal are qway too slow Sigh!!!

the resistor will slow down the death of the laser on a neo 2.2, but it will not completely prevent it.
the origa definately does not harm the laser, I'd say he prolly adjusted his laser wrong and burnt it out that way.

Unhappy

Does it do the same thing on the Neo 2.5 with the resistor?
What is the average life span for a Ps2 with a neo 2.5 ( I usually play 1 pr 2 hours a day) ?
Everyone is sure that I can not play original Imports?

the neo "2.5" is just a neo 2.2 on a pcb too. so yeah, resistor should be installed.

no neo chip can play original imports.

Cool

IF something should happen to my laser, is there a chance that I can buy a new one somewere ? ( just incase never now I might just stock one up for a rainy day )
I am really pissed of becasue the installer lied to me he told me that with some codes for the AR2 I could run originals ( )

pcb = the circuit board it's on.
you can buy replacement lasers, but they're 40-50 bucks usually, and don't fit all models.
