Dont get so wound up on this. The new securom isnt much diffirent from the old, many crackers have indeed mastered it. Its still the same old generic method of unpacking these games (cdilla included) You will most certainly see a crack by someone who owns the game soon

Otherwise i would try it for ya <-- poor bitch who cant afford games

I really hope a new fixed exe will come out soon, the 1.0.7.0 patch came out ages ago. I bought a legal copy but still I have to crack it, pretty stupid if you ask me...

I can still play the old version but it has bugs, for example the lockpick master wont get out of his prison cell even if I open the cell so he can get out, he just stays in there and ask me to try and let him out...

You can make a backup of it, I did. Just used CloneCD for disk 2, and turned on all of the copying features like intelligent bad sectors etc, and put it at 1x speed. The backup CD works with the patch also.

It's not GCWs fault, unless someone has sent them a nocd patch and they're just sitting on it. Of course, they haven't put the official game patch from Sierra/Troika up, so there's no way to know how on-the-ball GCW is with Arcanum.

i cracked german arcanum 1.0.7.0 today,and it was pretty boring.
would somebody that failed on this please confirm that the us 1.0.7.0
has a newer securom so i can stop laughing...

Fairlight managed to crack it! I mailed the EXE + NFO to GCW! Just wait for it to get posted there! You can thank a nice guy called Manse for pointing out where I could get it

You just need to install the English 1.0.6.4 to 1.0.7.0 Patch first and you're ready to ROCK!

I did a fresh install of Arcanum, FULL install, applied the patch + Fixed EXE and I'm happy to say it loaded! It also works as a No CD as it never asked me to insert one
