DVD Writers, Original Movies, & Games

Like a lot of people, I'm thinking about buying a DVD Burner in the next week or so. I've been looking up a lot of info. on the different kinds and I like the Pioneer DVR-104. I want to use it to make copies of original DVD movies, and also to burn copies of PlayStation2 and Xbox games. Will that drive do all that? If not, can you recommend another drive that will do those things? And also, what kind of media works the best when making copies of DVD movies? Any and all help will be much appreciated.
