Is anyone interested in swapping a PAL PS2 for a pioneer DVR-AO4? Keeping mind that as it is, PAL PS2's are compatible with the messiah modchip. I realise that the messiah will soon be compatible with NTSC.

So, is anyone interested?

is your ps2 messiah chipped?

if not then its only worth less than half of an A04

Well - I've tried a few places to get a 104, but on Ebay- -postage is robbery. Here in New Zealand, a 104 costs $2000. That is US$1000. I've seen them for as little as US$250 - and I would be quite happy to pay that, but then the postage people charge is in upwards of US$100. Looks like all they want is to make a profit, rather than helping me out.

I figure, a swap can be made at no expense for postage - and I can just get another PS2 to chip later on.

Dusty - if you could get a 104 for less than a chipped PS2 (messiah) would it be too much to ask for you to help me out on this? My email is [email protected]

Try to negotiate with someone beforehand on the shipping. It may be a lost cause, but a few are willing to help out a bit. I've sent stuff overseas via US Post Global Priority Mail. I have a friend in Brazil, and I've gotten him some software and shipped it for less then $6, and everyone wanted to charge him over $30. The Freespace add-on CD was gonna cost him over $40, I got it to him for $16. Try checking out some retail sites as well. www.pricewatch.com is a good place to compare prices--they list shipping costs to US--at least it will help narrow down who to send e-mails to.

Hey M8,

If your in NZ, why get stuff from USA?, I got my A04, thats with all software from place in Brisbane for $899 Aud, you have to deposit cash to their account as they dont take credit, b4 they dispatch, but they are genuine.

It cost me $915.50 AUD delivered!! shouldnt be much more to NZ!

Check em out at www.blankcd.com.au its called the disc shop, dont ask me why url dont match, no idea, but they do sell A04 and are genuine, hope this helps.

Will post it too, as I've emailed via board b4 n not got any response so dont know if it gets thru

i can buy pioneer a04 with shipping to me £270 plus £40 to ship to u registered and insured thats £310 if its any good to u
but u b cheaper $250+$100=$350 thats about £250
pay the postage u still got a bargain

but if u correct ebay $250plus$100 thats cheaper then just drive from anywere in uk
