Question Will this method of copying DVD's work?

I put the DVD I want to copy and a blank DVD-R in the relevant CD drives, then I use Easy CD creator's Data CD function and copy all the files on the DVD onto the blank DVD, will this now work in my P.C or a standalone player?

Wouldn't it be a common sense to have a DVD-R burning software and a DVD Burner..Unless you're ripping the DVD Movie to CD-R..Either way you still need a DVD rom drive to read the DVD..Perferly A04 and Prassi or whatever software that burns DVd-R's..
