Do you have Partition Magic ?? Together with it comes "Drive Mapper" a program which is your solution!
What it does is this : When a drive letter of a device (your cd-rom) changes (ex. from d becames e) most of the programs, usually games, search for the files at the wrong drive letter!!! That's because when they were installed, the cdrom was letter d ! Now this programm searches the registry and everything else and changes all that. It asks you what was the drive's letter and what is the drive's letter now , and then it changes all the programs so that from now on they'll search at the right place.
