Red Alert 2.

We'll I want to be able to play my Red alert 2 game without having to use the CD.
So I downloaded the crack for the Patched version of the game and followed the instructions , but when I started the game it begun to load then I got a prompt saying "failed to initailize. Please re-install"
(the instructions told me to put the MIX files from both the allied CD and Russian CD and put them into the game directory...I got the ones off the Russian CD...but was unable to get the ones from the allied CD(A friend is borrowing it)..but all the MIX files are that are on the allied's CD are the Allied Maps and videos)
If all im trying to play is the Soviet Disk then this shouldnt be a problem right?

So then i tried the process 5 more times with no luck.

Can anyone tell me what I could do to make it work?, or what im doing wrong?

This has to do with the Cd Protection it also does it with Yuri's revenge. The system on which they do the CD Protection is quite good. Look at dune for instance You can't use the CD1 Install disk if u copy it Cause it wants you to insert the REAL disk to install it

I think because the crack looks for the mix files from the allied cd and it cant find them so it stops.
