GTA3 crack does not seem to do anything!

Another problem with this troublesome crack. Again I post the question:
is there a definite way to get this game running with no-cd and sound in most pcs???
And yes, Ive read all threads in here, isonews, megagames and more on all subject and everyone seems to have a different solution for the problem.
Well, still Ive tried everything and I still get no sound. I use mith's .exe, I copied my audio folder to the game folder (195 audio files) , I had three corrupt files so I took working ones and renamed them. Still, I get no sound. I can play with no sound if I remove either sfx.raw or sfx.sdt. If I leave them in the audio folder the game asks for cd2 (even though I already went through the process above) Cant someone figure it out once and for all? An all-times, always works, no-cd all sound fix?
