Best CDR for photo storage

Hi Everyone,

I am just getting into burning CDR's and I was wondering what brand of CDR/CDRW are best for long term storage of photos? I have heard that some of them could become unstable over time and become unreadable. Is this true and is backing up photos on CDR's a waste of time?

Thanks in advance,

Andrew

I recommend:

* Taiyo Yuden (look for "Made in Japan")
* Kodak Gold Ultima (if you can find it, that is!)
* TDK (look for "Made in USA" or "Made in Japan")
* Mitsui Gold (look for "Made in Japan")
* Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (Verbatim).
