How do you get past the CD check in Freedom Force?
You know just the part where it ask for the CD. I pasted the system EXE over the games EXE so I don't need the CD but the grey insert CD box still pops ups until you select something before it starts. I know there is a way to get past this becuase I did it before but I can't remember how, its been awhile ago since I had to reinstall FF.

Yes, that makes the game work without the CD but I'm just tring to get rid of the CD check prompt so I don't have to look at it. I did it before but forgot how. It seems like there was another step involved in that process you mentioned to do this. I don't think it was a NoCD fix that I used but maybe it was. I tried a couple fixes but didn't have any luck with those. Damn, I wish I could remember what I did before!

I made a back up copy of Freedom Forces with CloneCD.
The game installs perfectly but when i try to play the game with the cd in. I get "please insert fforce cd" when its already in... Then Windows says FForce.exe has generated errors and will be shutdown. I can use a No Cd patch...I still get the CD check error message twice...I close the error and the game starts Should this really be called a backup? It does the samething with Gore... how do you make these supposed backups auto run with the cd that was backed up? |
