TDK CDRW241040X

Just bought this writer today and was wondering if anyone knows who really made it? I know most of the other TDK's are Sanyo's, but I hear rumors about some of them being Plextor's. Since noone else has another 24x besides Plextor, I was hoping for the best. Anyone have any news?

Plextors and sanyos have a very distinctive front panels...
plextors are flat with their fixtures in specific positions
and sanyos, well they just have their own look...
unfortunatly it looks like tdk have replaced the front panel if it is a rebadged model which is stange if it is a rebadged model...
come to think of it wht is it important that you know? if compatibility is your concern then just wait while and if it is a plextor most programs will support it when they support the plextor 24*...

ps plextor is not the only 24* burner!!!
its just the only availible 24* burner in some countries...
