I am using a gameshark. When i get the message to change to cd 2 or cd 3, it does not recognize it. It says wrong disk.
Anybody knows how to fix the problem? Thank you Last edited by minou; 10-06-2002 at 08:46. |

Don't use the gameshark.
If you have a modded playstation or are using the gameshark as the boot device you need to remove the spring so the system will know the door has opened, swap the disk and then put the spring back in place. Disk swapping for some games must have the lid sensor detect it has opened. The only way to get around this is if the game gives you the option of saving before you switch disks. |

I have done it. I swap disk, remove the spring, put it back and the cd spins, checks disk but i still get the wrong disk message.
It does that for both disk 2 and disk 3. |

Have you tried booting up the disk themselves and seeing what comes up, most disk in a series are able to boot but then will request that you put in disk one and start again, if these disk won't even boot up there maybe a problem is with disk 2 and 3.
Other wise it's a head scratcher. Playstation has made disk errors before, I own a copy of Castlevania Greatest hits - when you pop it in to play, ta da, it comes up as Elmo's Letter adventure!!
