Does daemon tools work with GTA3?

Can I use daemon tools to play GTA3 from my cd2 backup or from the image on my HD? I've tried the no-cd cracks but I still cant get the game to run with sound... Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I know the sound problem has been answered but I still havent been able to solve it. Ive read ALL threads about it but my problem is that mith's exe does not work if I dont remove either sfx.sdt or sfx.raw and probably one of this files is required to play sound. Anyone that has noticed this problem please help.
And the original games .exe crashes with daemon tools and mith's asks for cd2. Any suggestions?

Are you using a fixed .exe or the game's original one? Do you emulate from the cd or do you mount an image?

i use the original exe and i just mount the image

What did you use to create the image? I used CloneCd but even though Clony detects Safedisc 2.51 on the mounted image I think it' s not a perfect 1:1 on the original cd cause it makes the original gta3.exe crash...

i used clonecd. the reason it crashes is becuase your cdrw can't
write the image properly...
