The Sims

I currently have The Sims, Livin' It Up, House Party, and Hot Date game and expansion packs for The Sims. Looking to find out how to copy these originals so that they don't get damaged. I have a Lite-On 24x writer model no LTR-2410B with the latest firmware. Using Clone CD latest version as well as Disc Juggler, CDRwin and Nero. Also have Clony XXL installed. Is there anyone out there who can tell me how to make a backup of each game without making some new coffee coasters?. I believe they all use various SafeDisc protections. But stuck on how to copy them.
Thanks In Advance.
Liam

Download Clony XXL which will give you the correct settings to use in Clone CD. Your Lite-On will be able to copy them no problem.

Remember however, that the newer games may have an ATIP check also, so if you play them from your writer then enable Hide CD-R Media in the Clone CD Tray when playing.

Hey,
I have the exact same burner, and I have made perfect 1:1 copies of all of those games. I also copied the new Vacation. All you need to do is scan the game with clony xxl, open clondcd from clony, and last of all make sure all of the required boxes are checked. Good Luck.

Which boxes do I need to tick exactly using clone. Tried to copy it the other day but it kept coming up with read errors with Clone. Does this matter at all?. I know clony sets Clone CD to the relevent settings but are there anymore I need to add/remove?
Sorry for all these questions as I am a newbie to copying/backing up.
Thanks in advance
Liam

Hello
you may find you have to copy an image to your hard drive
first using clone cd with fast error skip ticked
then burn the image to cd
using only your burner to read and write
I think this way will give you the best results
it s worked for me.
good Luck

Yes these are the correct settings to use but you need to remember that this is hardware dependent - not every burner is capable of this. If this is the case you can try using AWS, if that fails then you can try a crack
