plextor 24/10/40

According to the clone cd homepage

Plextor 24/10/40 is the perfect reader and writer for burning all kinds of games!

No! that is just your assumption based on the information provided.
If rummors are true and plextor have made deals with macrovision, then the 24/10/40 will not be capable of sd2 or any future macrovision protected release.
When you have information from reliable person(s) that this drive is capable, then you can claim its perfect!
For now im sticking with Acer.

no deal between Plextor and Macrovision. It will MOST likely be able to do SD2.

Hi ppl, according to the website cdr-info.com
the review on the plexwriter 21/10/40 can do a copy of all types of current cd protections, including SD2....only problem is that they don't have the SCSI version

THis web site has not reviewed a plextor 21/10/40 or a plextor 24/10/40!
They only mention that the 24/10/40 will be availible in europe soon!

As long as it performs well, we dont need to worry about deals (even if there are).

One of my friends has done some tests on it for a magazine (if I had known earlier, I would have asked him to burn some protected disks !!) and I'll ask him to do some tests later.

Another problem is that the price is at least $US250 !
