Question bootcd on psx1

If I use the bootcd that can be found on megagames.com would I be able to run psx1 game-backups without a mod-chip installed?

Please help..!

no, because it has sectors pressed onto the cd just like a psx game. so in order to use ti you will need a mod chip

How about if I buy PSXChange Boot MOD disk. Would I still need a mod chip installed?
