Angry Need Help with RecordNow and Matishita CDR/DVD

I was doing fine until upgrading to Windows XP. My HP 8200 CD-R is not recognized. Therefore, I am attempting to use my laptop to back up my games.

I have RecordNow on Windows Xp, and the hardware is Matishita cd-r/DVD.

I was attempting to back up two disks: Resident Evil Survival, and Scooby Doo and the Cyber [something or another].

XP recognizes the cd-r/dvd and the software came with the laptop. CDRWin made it so easy, please.

your hp burner is compatable with clonecd so go here psx copy world and download clonecd and then go here micro soft and download the updates and you should not have a problem.

Wink

Thanks for the reply. Downloading as I write.

Does CloneCD allow [like CDRWIN] an opportunity to apply patches? I would imagine it does or why use it?

Perhaps these two games will get backed up yet.

yes u can still patch games with clone cd. when you make an image of a game with clone cd it will make 3 files a ccd, img, sub to patch the image all you have to do is rename the img to bin run the patching program and then rename the bin back to img and then burn it. for the setting to use here you go.

use these clonecd settings

create a cd image using clone cd with these settings.

set read speed to 1 0r 2x
select read subchanel data from data tracks
select read subchanel data from audio tracks
select abort on read errors
every thing else should be grayed out

to burn image to cd

set write speed 1 or 2x
select RAW DAO
select dont repair subchannel data
unselect simulate writing (if available)
select burn proof/just link (if available)
unselect perform laser power calibration(if available)
unselect wait until buffers are full (if available)
select always close last session

happy playing

Thumbs up

Thank you very much. I had already experimented with the patch on CloneCD last night. The program was so user friendly it even worked for me.

I read
I patched
I copied
It worked....

You're the man! Again thanks
