How do you tell if CD-ROM reads sub channel data?

I have a Mitsumi 4802TE writer and I have been told (and have verified it) that it does not read sub channel data and audio but it does write it. I therefore need to know how to tell if my CD-ROM can read that information so I can burn it to disk via the Mitsumi. I have an AOpen 52x reader. Is there a list somewhere of this info?

Many thanks,

Mintyman

Is yours the AOPEN CD940E/AKU PRO ? If so, yes - it can do a RAW read, as long as you've got a version of CloneCD higher than 1.0.1.1

I found this on the CloneCD help file, under hardware requirements, although if you have a different ACER model you could try the home page for CloneCD or email technical support.

I had the same problem as you - my writer is rubbish at RAW read..

Good luck ;-)

Just looked at the Aopen home page..

Could your drive be the CD-952E?

####://www.aopen.com/products/optical/cdrom/cd952e.htm

Perhaps it's just a faster version of the one listed in the CloneCD helpfile?
