GTA3 - Game crashes when playing a few sounds...

I have gone through a lot of trubble to get my GTA3 running.
Now I am actually playing the game and that with sound - nice.

However, the game crashes a lot. It seems it happens when it is about to play a few selected sounds. One I have identified is when glass is breaking, a good example is when breaking in at the car dealers shop in Portland.

Has someone else experienced this?
What the heck to do about that?

Wonder if you are playing with nocd or cd?

For both case, check those .wav or .mp3 under the audio subfolder, maybe they are corrupted...

Actually, I found out what the problem was.

If you play using one crack and save your game and then change the crack to a different one, you might experience problems.
I sure did.

So... pick one crack (I picked the Myth one) and stick to that one.
