GTA 3 & Plextor 24-10-40

Hi! I just bought GTA 3 and tried to make a backup with my Plextor 24-10-40 and Clone CD 4 but it dont work. I thought, the plextor is able to burn safedisc 2.x....
My Image works fine. I tested it with Daemon Tools and i can play the game with it. Has anybody got some idea...?

From what i have heard only a selected plexys can write 2.xx
Get urself a nice and cheap lite-on, i have copyied all my games @ 24x and all have worked perfect with really crap media. i think lite-on's are great and is the best buy i have ever done with my PC.
i used to have a old crappy teac 4x and i made tons of coasters but since i bought my lite-on i have still to have any problems copying any games.

This is not true.Plextor will backup successfully any sf2.51.021 and up version by enabling the "AWS" option when writting.And then only will work in your plextor using the "hide cd-r media" option and in some drives...not in all.

Good luck!

Change your regional settings to something other than USA or Japan.

Also - AWS doesn't need to be ticked when dealing with SD 2.4 and below

Just 2.51 and onwards.

Thanks for the reply
but what does Changing your regional settings have to do with SD 2.4 and up and what does AWS stand for and if i'm not asking to much, how do you change "hide cd-r media" option.

Thanks in advance

AWS = Amplify Weak Sectors

It is banned in USA and Japan but the author has left us an easy workaround (the Regional Settings)

To turn on Hide CD-R Media you right click on the Clone CD Tray on the bottom right of your screen (if it's currently running) then toggle Hide CD-R Media on/off from there.
